Humming about Hermitage

Hermitage Museum & Gardens is one of our favorite venues in the Hampton Roads. Sitting on the edge of the Lafayette River, this property gives you both waterfront and garden views for you and your guests to enjoy. Kelsey & Karan wed in the East Garden which showcases a magnificent tree followed by a gate leading to the water. To liven up this late October day, we brought swags of soft dusty rose and burgundy drape to frame the ceremony tree. These colors tied in perfectly with the florals and created such a pop of color to this spot that we don’t see often!

The reception tent was located on the central lawn, an almost tropical ambiance, as swags of sheer ivory spanned the width of the tent. By having the ceiling drapery continue down each tent leg, this helps seamlessly soften all the tent’s hard structures. White café lights symmetrically followed the drape while six of our gold lanterns lined the spine of the tent, with greenery attached from Katie Fiore. Don’t overlook the static champagne uplights, as this is a feature we always recommend for inside of a tent!

The party didn’t stop there.. the dance floor presented itself on the paved patio with our black café lights strung above. These string lights are great for dancing as they can be dimmed down as the night goes on! Our fan favorite West Elm Pendants stole the show as they enhanced the starry night sky with their geometric shapes. The Oza’s did an exceptional job at utilizing all The Hermitage has to offer. Cheers to them & to many more at this beautiful property!
